The throttle body is part of a car's fuel injection system that pumps burn materials into the engine. A burn mixture is traditionally composed of air and fuel materials, which enter the engine separately. The throttle body handles the air component of the burn mixture.

In the fuel injection system of a Chevrolet pickup, the throttle body is located between the intake manifold and air filter box in the engine bay.
