When you step on the clutch pedal of the vehicle, hydraulic pressure is sent by the master cylinders to the slave cylinders of the clutch mechanism. The slave cylinders extend the slave pistons to retract the clutch from the flywheel. Consequently, the transmission of engine mechanical output is temporarily terminated. The release forked is retracted and the clutch plate disengages from the flywheel of the engine. When the clutch becomes too worn-out, it becomes less effective in transmitting engine output.
